The Austin Chamber of Commerce and the Central Texas Regional Center of Innovation and Commercialization (CenTex RCIC) announce that the state of Texas has chosen AnaLogix Development Corporation as the recipient of a pre-seed award funded through the Texas Emerging Technology Fund (ETF). This company, which has produced the first natural movement 3-D game controller for the PC and gaming markets, will receive a $250,000 pre-seed project award for the commercialization of its motion sensing technology.

“In tough economic times, it’s more important than ever that government and industry work together to create high-paying jobs here at home and keep Texas on the cutting edge of technology,” said Jack McDonald, Chairman and CEO of Perficient, Inc. and Chairman of the CenTex RCIC. “We’re pleased to announce this investment in AnaLogix as another step in our plan to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in Central Texas and build a leading position in the gaming industry.”

In addition to creating the first programmable 3D motion-sensing controller, AnaLogix Development Corporation has developed a device that is compatible with all available games on the current market and has the ability to adapt to custom simulation environments. The controller is based on Micro Electro-Mechanical (MEMS) technology, which makes it one of the most affordable designs for entertainment and simulation/training applications.

“Being acknowledged and receiving this award from the ETF is a proud moment for AnaLogix Development Corporation,” said Pierre Touma, CEO of AnaLogix Development Corporation. “We have high expectations for our new product which will help position Austin and AnaLogix as a primary competitor within the gaming industry.”

With the award from the ETF, AnaLogix Development Corporation will be able to initiate and sustain first product operations of the 3D controller. Any residual funds will be used to help assist the company in the launch a second-generation product. AnaLogix Development Corporation will also continue collaborating with the University of Texas and the Austin Technology Incubator.

AnaLogix Development Corporation was selected by the CenTex RCIC after an extensive due diligence process based on multiple criteria including a stringent analyses of the market and financial opportunity, technology potential, management team and economic impact to Texas.
