There are a number of opportunities each year for Chamber members to participate in transportation and infrastructure related events. Check back regularly for information on upcoming events.

April 20-22, 2008—Third Annual Texas Transportation Forum The event draws approximately 1300 elected officials and business and industry leaders that are eager to find solutions to Texas’ transportation challenges. During the 2008 Forum, transportation experts will explore strategies key to the future of transportation in the great state of Texas and the United States.

A key benefit that the Chamber offers its membership is exposure to best practices and lessons learned in other communities about issues also impacting Central Texas.

Priority Issues

Priority issues for 2008 include supporting improvements to the regional, multi-modal transportation system to ensure a comprehensive transportation plan that supports a robust economy and to communicate accomplishments and influence more effectively in the community. To accomplish these goals the Regional Infrastructure and Development department plan to build support for projects that support comprehensive, regional mobility, provide community leadership exposure to best-practices and lessons learned in benchmark communities and monitor other infrastructure issues for action in support of economic growth.
